It is a process that lightens stains and discoloration from the teeth and underlying dentin surfaces of your teeth

• STEP ONE THE GENTLE TOUCH LIGHT & GEL
  The Gentle Touch Whitening gel, which has a proven track record for safety and efficiency, is applied to the teeth. The gentle touch light activates the gel safely and without heat. The gel is a food additive and is completely safe. No messy trays, no toxic chemicals, no tooth sensitivity, no Hydrogen Peroxide, no competition.

• STEP TWO Gentle Touch BRUSH ON ENHANCER
  This safe whitening enhancer will help maintain your new smile when used after the Gentle Touch Whitening treatment.

How long does the treatment last?

The results you achieve from the GTW tooth whitening can last forever if the GTW enhancer is used once/twice a week. If not used, depending on your eating, drinking, and smoking habits, discoloration could occur within 6-12 months.

Is whitening safe for my teeth?

Studies indicate that GentleTouch and the GTW enhancer are safe for your teeth. There are no indications of changes to the morphology of the teeth or damage to the enamel.

How does this process compare to ones in a dentists office?

There are two basic procedures being used today: the custom trays and the light enhanced whitening systems. The trays cost $3-5,000, involve several weeks of home usage, and utilize high concentrations of Hydrogen Peroxide that may cause tooth sensitivity for an extended period of time. The ADA does not approve of this method.

The light enhanced methods are effective but also involve high concentrations of Hydrogen Peroxide that can burn the gums. A protective dam is applied to keep you from being burned and this is tedious work and takes up to 2 hours to complete. This procedure can cost up to $1,000.

What about over the counter whitening products?

These products have some whitening results but take many weeks of applications to see results and may not last very long. In general, over the counter products will achieve 75% less whitening results than a light enhanced method.

What if I have caps, crowns, fillings or diamond studs?

Gentle Touch Whitening will not damage bonding, veneers, porcelain or acrylic caps or crowns and will whiten them to their original color. Gold or silver fillings are fine. Gold or diamond studs are fine.

Preparation and Post Whitening Recommendations:

• Please ensure that you are flossing your teeth daily

• Brush your teeth if possible before your appointment

• Eat before your appointment

• If possible do not eat dark foods (coffee, red wine, tea, cola) for 24 hours post treatment

Gentle Touch Post Treatment Enhancer

We recommend that you use the enhancing product for no more than 4 weeks twice daily after the initial treatment. You will see additional whitening results from the GTW material with continued use following the initial process.
