 Glycolic Peels provide improvement with the first treatment because it causes a rapid exfoliation of epidermal cells, thereby loosening impactions, clarifying the complexion, and reducing scars, fine lines, and hyperpigmentation. Often performed weekly or bi-monthly for a specific concern such as minimizing fine lines, glycolic peels are usually reduced to a lesser frequency after 8-10 visits. The series of 8 – 10 treatments can be repeated several times per year. Occasionally, the monthly “maintenance” facial will include a Glycolic Peel to keep the skin nicely exfoliated. It also helps to use a glycolic, lactic, or Retinol type moisturizer to enhance the results. There is no down time with a glycolic peel.

Usage:  Suitable for clients with impactions or whose complexion needs clarifying. The glycolic peel also helps reduce the appearance of scars, fine lines, and hyperpigmentation. Should not be performed on a client who suffers from psoriasis, lupus, cancer, eczema, herpes, Accutane usage within the past year, or any other conditions that increase skin sensitivity.

Salicylic Peel $30

Salicylic acid is excellent for those suffering from acne as it helps dissolve the top layers of skin without causing harm to underlying tissues. It exfoliates and loosens dead cell buildup, gently dissolving the top layer of the stratum corneum. A superior formulation, salicylic acid is also credited with reducing sebaceous follicle buildup and blockage. It also helps with congested skin due to salicylic acid’s ability to penetrate and exfoliate inside the pore as well as on the surface. This peel aids in skin rejuvenation by making pores appear more refined, loosening impactions, and smoothing skin. Over the past few years, this outstanding peel has been gaining in popularity even among those without acneic conditions as it is less drying to the skin. The Beta Peel may be used on all skin types except clients with rosacea or psoriasis conditions. It should not be used on clients who are allergic to aspirin. It can be performed weekly or bi-monthly to help reduce specific skin concerns.  There is no down time with this peel.
